[Elecraft] Recent band conditions

Hi Rod,
Funny, I mentioned the recent poor band conditions to a scientist here at
work who runs our ionospheric sounder to study, (what else) propagation!

I asked if there was some extra solar activity or is this just the usual
down side of the cycle.  He said it seemed it was usual declining solar
cycle.   "Maybe with the Internet and greater awareness of solar outages in
the news, we are hearing about the bad conditions more than we did in the
former cycles."   He also said, it could be that we are having a bit more
than usual bad conditions.  Of course, that is why they study it, to try to
understand the solar cycles and day to day variations.
