FWIW:

The cigarette lighter adaptor on my automotive trouble light got stepped
on so I went out to the local RS for a replacement...Some of you may
already know about it, but I came across the neatest adaptor I have seen
for use in the 12 volt auxiliary outlets a lot of cars have nowadays for
lap tops, cell phones, (K2s?) etc...This is not a cheapie, it is well
made and has it's own 10 amp glass fuse inside...It is "T" shaped, plugs
into the 12 volt outlet and has two 5 way binding posts at the standard
3/4 inch spacing that will accept banana plugs, spade lugs, etc...The
positive contact is a heavy duty spring loaded button that unscrews to
change the fuse, and the negative contact is two heavy duty, flat,
springy blades...RS part number is 270-1521 and it cost me $7 and change,
NYS tax included...
