Hi
The 30 and 20 meter bands use the same filter section. The other bands =
will not be affected because they use other filters and are switched out =
of the circuit. You must peak L8 and L9 on the 30 meter band first then =
peak C21 and C23 on 20 meters. Do not re-adjust L8 and L9 on 20 meters =
use only the adjustable capacitors. If the capacitors seem erratic =
rotate them back and forth several dozen times to seat them then they =
will adjust better. If the filters work on transmit then they should =
also work on receive because the same band pass and low pass filters are =
used for both transmit and receive.

Subject: [Elecraft] Yet another Alignment question
SNIP
I was under the impression that the order of the alignment was rigid, =
that
it had to be done precisely in the order listed in the alignment =
procedures,
but last night I noticed in the troubleshoot chart, item 120, that I =
should
try peaking just the affected bands.
I expect I will be able to bring 20M up, but what does these do to my
overall alignment? How do I keep from fixing one and screwing up =
others with
an unordered procedure such as this? I realize this is a test to be =
sure
alignment is the problem with 20M, but I don't want to sacrifice any =
others
to do it.
Thanks for your thoughts,
