[Elecraft] IRC Channel

Once again I would like to introduce the Elecraft People to the Elecraft IRC
Chat Channel. This is a channel where one can chat in real time,  to discuss
various elecraft projects, on the air testing, setting up schedules, and
meet other Elecraft Enthusiasts. If you login and see no activity please
stay awhile. There are many who login and seeing no activity leave. The
information of how to log into the the channel is listed below which is
taken off the main page of the Elecraft Website.

How to get on the #Elecraft IRC channel:

Option 1:

  1.. Go to http://www.mirc.com/get.html
  2.. Select mIRC 6.03 in Pennsylvania (or the closest state to you).
  3.. Install what you downloaded.
  4.. Open up MIRC
  5.. Click on the X on the About mIRC screen
  6.. Next screen should be mIRC Option
  7.. IRC network should be All
  8.. Below that you want IRC.WorldIRC.ORG
  9.. Click on Connect to IRC Server
  10.. Takes a while, but when you see the mIRC Channels Folder come up,
type #Elecraft in the Enter name of IRC channel to join.
  11.. Click on Join and you should be there.

Option 2:

  1.. Install mIRC
  2.. Go to www.worldirc.org/servers.php
  3.. Click on Europe (EU.WorldIRC.Org)
  4.. It will bring up mIRC, tell it to proceed to EU.WorldIRC.Org if it
asks.
  5.. It takes a while, but when you see the mIRC Channels Folder come up,
type #Elecraft in the Enter name of IRC channel to join
  6.. Click on Join and you should be there.
