[Elecraft] SSB Carrier Balanc adjustment.

Hi, Folks,

I am having trouble with carrier balance adjustment on page 19 of the SSB
module instructions.  I set up SSBC and set SSBA to BAL and exit the menu.
I adjust R1.  The minimum reading on the s-meter and on my spectrum analyzer
is when R1 is adjusted all the way clockwise on R1.  There is never a
"null".  Turning R1 counterclockwise just brings the carrier level up.

So, you might say, starting with R1 fully counterclockwise, there is a
steady decrease of reading on the s-meter, and never a null.

I don't have a clue what should happen.  It doesn't really say in the
manual. Actually, it says "minimum indication".  I guess that's what I have
with R1 pegged clockwise?  Something tells me what is happening isn't right!
