green brown green = 5100000 - that certainly sounds like a 5.1 megohm
resistor to me.  If it were an inductor marked in microhenries, those
markings would indicate 5.1 Henries, and you just can't get that much
inductance in a package the size of one of those small inductors - yet - I'm
certain someone is trying <G>  I know it might be that small with a gyrator
circuit someday, but not with only 2 leads!!!

The manual also suggests the orientation for the resistors near the start of
the manual.  As several have already stated, that is a help for later
servicing - makes no difference electrically.  The second and third steps in
the initial 'Assembly' section of my revision A manual points this out.
