Ah!  You have just detected one of the reasons for building the K2.  I built
my first Heathkit with a non-electric soldering iron heated on the kitchen
stove.  When I could afford it, I bought some cheap stuff that doesn't
really work well now. Now when I build my first rig in XX years, I "need"
some good stuff.
