I agee - tuner outside with the antenna. A wide range QRP level tuner
similar to that used in the K1. Preferrably capable of working with
either an end-fed wire or a balanced line. In a splash proof case with
an internal 9-volt battery. Latching relays so no power drain from the
battery except while actually tuning. Designed to be used with any QRP
rig. The tune command signal sent via the coax so that the tuner needs
only a single coax connection to the radio site. Probably a DC
block/switch in a small box at the transmitter end. Possibly a tuned
indicator at the transmit end if that can be done over the single
coax.
