[Elecraft] QRP to the field

W5YA will operate QRP to the field Saturday, around 14.060, 21.060, and =
28.060 just for fun.  Probably commence around 1600z and will be active =
for a few hours.

Rig will be a K2 # 700 at 5 watts, antenna will be a 10-40 meter open =
loop with broadside gain on 15 and 20 meters supported by a 33 foot =
push-up fiberglass pole mounted on the camper.

Theme for this year is "Ghost Towns."  I will be on top of a volcanic =
cinder cone at about 7,500 feet, south of Santa Fe, NM, a wind swept =
spot with 100 mile views.  The cone guards the ghost town of La Bajada, =
an early 1600's Spanish farming village which sprang up at the base of =
the volcano where a stream was (now dammed well upstream into a =
reservoir), but still flows at times

579 NM.  Never too engrossed in the contest not to stop and chat!
