It will just get better and better. I finished my K2 about 10 days ago,
got the options done about 2 days ago and am beginning work on the
KPA100. But the K2 alone is proving more amazing each time I use it.
It is a very nice radio indeed. Have fun.

Gents,
I can't begin to describe how much fun I'm having with the K2. I've now
erected about 150' of long wire around the periphery of the property and
am
getting all sorts of fat signals on 40 m.
This is the first receiver I've built (bar a few crystal sets in the dim
and
distant) and the satisfaction is quite amazing. Messing about with the
crystal filter settings on CW is incredible. You tune past a weak
signal,
peak it up with the VFO, narrow the bandwidth and do it again. Repeat
and it
blasts out.
I can even read about 1 character in four.
Bill, don't worry - I'll be doing CW. Be along presently.
I'm astounded that the difference having a crystal filter that you can
adjust makes. You start with a weak signal you can just pick out of the
noise, twiddle with the settings and in it comes, clear as a bell.
I'm repeating myself (gibber). This is great.
Katie (XYL) remarked at the stupid grin on my face whilst sitting
twiddling
and listening to beeps. Lauren seems to be the only one to appreciate
the
fun.
I've got four more days holiday to finish the beast. Might be on air at
the
weekend.
Heh-heh...I haven't had so much fun in ages...
Best to all.
