Many ordinary everyday implements are a real challenge if one is a
lefty...The most obvious is an ordinary pair of scissors...The finger
holes are made to fit the hand of a righty comfortably, but if you are a
lefty, they are actually painful to use, digging deep ruts into the
second joint of the thumb...A circular saw has the blade on the wrong
side for a lefty, making it a little more challenging since the saw is
running across the cut-off piece, which falls away when the cut is
complete...If you cut from the other side to avoid this, you have to
twist yourself sideways to follow the cut line with your eye...
