[Elecraft] SSB alignment

I have survived the first glitch in setting up the SSB option. SSBA and
SSBC showed - - . The instructions said that meant the SSB module
microprocessor wasn't communicating with the rest of the radio. Sure
enough, the microprocessor wasn't quite plugged in all the way on one
row of pins. After fixing that in, things worked!
But . . . On page 19 of the SSB instruction book, it says to put the PA
bias pot, R-60 all the way counter-clockwise and leave it there. I
don't have such a pot. R-60 is a fixed resistor on my board. The
schematic also shows a fixed resistor for R-60. Was that a change on
the RF board made after the SSB adaptor book was printed? Or am I being
more than usually unobservant?
