Another possibility...
Purchase a "combined" instrument, for example the MFJ-259B or MFJ-249B, 
which is primarily an "antenna analyzer" that includes frequency counter 
capability.  In general I find multipurpose instruments a combination of 
compromises in accuracy, or ease of use.  But the benefits of something 
like a 259B in both testing and tuning your antenna and verifying proper 
adjustment of your K1 (and whatever follows.....  ;-) far outweigh small 
compromises.

You certainly can spend the $200+ that the MFJ units cost on a frequency 
counter alone.
