I've heard it said that Elecraft products have been compared to Viagra: 
responsible for a new enthusiasm for Amateur Radio...

Certainly true in my case! (I'll leave the rest of the analogy alone). ;-)

How true it is..

Would build a kit for someone just for the joy of doing it..  If it wasn't 

for Elecraft, I'd probally give up HF..
