[Elecraft] AGC question?

SN 3345 I too notice a bit change in audio output when the AGC is off! Is 
changing out R1 on the control board the best way to deal with this quirk? I 
get the recommended 3.80v adjusting R1 but I wonder if there's a better way 
to making this adjustment?

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
