[Elecraft] Remoting K2 Sound

Folks,

A question for you folks.

Whilst I've been testing K2Z - long periods of time waiting for a test to
finish -   I've been looking at audio streaming for K2 audio. I've just
knocked up a quick test program and have proved that I can stream one-way
audio from my K2 to another PC. I can do this without any plug ins or third
party software (except for the utility). I also think it might work on all
versions of Windows.

If I can do this in one direction, then I can do this in both directions -
eg I can do a utility to provide remote SSB.

I'm not sure about CW - this might be problematic because of propagation
delays thru two sound cards and packet delays via the Internet.

Sound streaming in conjunction with K2 Remote might be a handy tool. BUT,
the question is - is this of any interest and will it get used?  I don't
really want to spend time on this just for three or four people. Also,
Internet security is an issue and people will have to fiddle with the
firewalling at the K2 end, and possibly the firewalling at the remote end.

What are your thoughts?
