I know that a NB is probably essential in some locations but since I
haven't used
one in earnest since the 'woodpecker' era I would trade the noise
blanker in the
K2 for more skirt selectivity. Using my K2 in recent cw contests I
found I was
not conscious of the receiver at all I.e just 'work 'em' whereas using
my TS850
I would seem to be always twiddling with its settings. The TS850 has
better filter
skirts (standard KWd filters) but seems to more fatiguing than the K2
over
extended operating periods.
