I like the 180 kHz option, but since you don't have a 150 kHz wide 40m =
CW band in Europe, I can see your point in choosing the smaller span.

I assume that you've replaced the 18.000 MHz crystal with a 18.100 MHz =
crystal.  If so what you seem to be saying is that the display reads =
10.000 to 10.080, while the actual frequency of operation is 10.100 to =
10.180 MHz.  That's easy to solve!

Look at the Band Assignment instructions (page 53 on my K1 manual).  It =
says that on 30m, you'll also have to "hold DISPLAY to select either =
10.0 or 10.1 MHz" during the band assignment process.
