Comparing my K2 to my MP...
There definitely is something different, but it is going to be hard to quantify. QRN does not seem to be "spread out" as much. I seem to be able to hear farther down into the "weak levels" without encountering "stuff" that is not signal. The audio does not seem to "bite" or "irritate" as much.
What I am going to do is to run the audio from the MP into one side of the headset, the K2 into the other and tune them up spot on each other. The MP has very fine frequency increments, so should be able to match very close. Set the AGC off, and match the levels, and let my ears tell me what is in one phone and not the other. Maybe get something specific there.
