[Elecraft] Bon Voyage

Hmmm . . . After a couple of months during which what started out as an
impressive collection of parts has morphed into what appears to be
something resembling a K2, #3209 is almost ready for its maiden voyage.
Wiring up the speaker and closing up the top cover is all that stands
between the dry dock and the sea. I'm wondering if breaking a bottle of
campaign over its top could possibly cause problems with the innards!

Seriously, it was a very interesting adventure. Now I'm about to see if
it will hear and be heard. It passed all its tests and I saw a healthy
amount of RF on the scope during alignment. I want to thank all who
answered my several stupid questions and offered encouragement when
needed. It is not the end of the road. There are modules to build,
including the KPA100. But I think I'm going to see what the brand new
K2 will do by itself for a while before heating up the iron for the next
stage.

All I can say is, Elecraft . . . you make one H... of a fine radio kit.
It takes a lot to impress me. But I am now impressed!
