Doug, when I built my K1 I somehow managed to align the
20m band way off frequency. I had peaked it on antenna
noise, and could tune around and hear signals, but they
were somehow out of band. This was confirmed in transmit
tests -- I was nowhere in the 20m band! (Didn't have a
freq counter so I didn't feel like tuning all over on a
receiver to find where I WAS either.) I bet if you sweep
your signal gen all across the HF spectrum you will find
where you have 30m set to!

You didn't mention if this was a 2-band or 4-band
filter board.

Try spinning the trimmer caps around a dozen times to wipe
the contacts clean.

What fixed mine was this: because the 20m and 15m (or 17m) bands
share the same bandpass filter, the trimmers can interact. That
is why they have you start alignment on 15, and then go to 20.
What I did was turn one of the 15m premix trimmers to a slightly
different position, and then repeaked the other three 15m trimmers.
Then I went back and repeaked 20 on receive noise. This time, it
was in band, and transmit alignment came up properly.

With yours, the 30m band is adjusted before the 7m band, so it
may not be the same kind of problem as mine. But still, try a slightly
different trimmer position for one of the premix caps and repeak. You
may find it comes in after that. The fact that you are hearing receive
noise is a good sign.
