[Elecraft] wha'happened?

I got a very brief window of time last Saturday to do a little
operating in the QRP Afield event, so I snuck off to my favorite
urban park to have fun with the K2 and PW-1 antenna. I forgot to
bring any swr meter or tuner, but I do have my PW-1 coil marked off
for the various bands to put me pretty close, so I thought by using
that plus my ear for best receive volume I could get an ok match (
see where this is headed?). I did have good luck for about an hour on
20 & 15 ( even bagged a Ukranian station on 15 that was close to the
qrp freqs) so I felt pretty good for running 3 w to an antenna that's
only mounted on the picnic table! After working casually for an hour
the rig shut down completely in the middle of a qso (!) and wouldn't
come back on even after about 5 minutes rest. My guess is that I
triggered the resetting fuse with high swr as the antenna is a 'tight
tune'-if you're not right on the spot it can be out of resonance. I
was using a well-charged gell cell that still shows a good charge.
So, I packed up and hauled it home thinking I may have fried the
finals. When I got home, I fired it right up at power with no
problems. I couldn't find anything specific in the manual about this.
Anyone else had this happen, and if so, how long does it take to
reset the fuse? Any other thoughts on what might have happened? Sure
seems like a bulletproof radio!
