Hi
I guess I should chime in on this as I started the the thing with the gri=
ll cloth. The instructions I send with my kit have you glue the grill clo=
th to the top of the K1/2 with spray adhesive. This is to keep the cloth =
from contacting the speaker cone and creating a rattle should the cloth b=
ecome loose. This also works for the KBT1 just glue it to the top and the=
speaker presses against the cloth. I have sent out over 300 of these kit=
s (at least I have used 3 or 4 - 1 square yard chunks of cloth and each m=
akes about 150)
I was glad to see the cloth with the KPA100 and I am glad Elecraft is pic=
king up the job of supplying the cloth.

We like the grille cloth we use with the KPA100 so much that we're going =
to add it to all
of our kits that use speakers (K2, K1, and KBT1). We'll post something ab=
out this in more
detail later, including info on how to obtain the grille cloth if you hav=
e an older kit.
But first, I have a question for those who have added their own grille cl=
oth to the KBT1
top cover. What method did you use to secure it? I'm sure that taping it =
to the top cover
will work, but it would be nice to know what type of tape has been used s=
uccessfully.
Thanks,
Wayne
