I used some grey window screen mesh (cloth) for my K2 top cover
(pre-KPA100).  I just cut it to size (square) and ran the speaker
mounting screws right through the cloth.  Worked fine.

For the KPA100 speaker, I just followed the manual instructions and cut
the corners on the provided cloth diagonally so that the speaker mounting
screws cleared the cloth.  That worked fine also.
