FYI - A bit off the Elecraft subjects, but, Andy, AE6Y, has just updated
his FREE, WINDOWS contest logger. Many of you are using this program, so
wanted you to be aware of the update and new features. Very good HELP
files. Easy download and installation. I have been using it for years. Be
sure to edit the CQPWIN92.INI file for your CALL, NAME,
Year-first-Licensed particulars.

Subject: [NCCC] CQPWIN 9.2 now on the web
For those of you who would like to try Windows shareware for logging CQP,
note that version 9.2 of CQPWIN has just been put on the CQP web site at
http://cqp.org/Software-AE6Y.html. [thanks to Ed, W0YK, for all his
efforts in putting the software on the site and maintaining the links]
The installation files are now configured into one zipped file containing
three files. Put the zipped file in a directory, unzip it, and run
setup.exe to install. This is a new version, written in 32-bit code to be
compatible with Windows 95 and later. The last version to work under
Windows 3.1 is version 8.10, also available on the site.
The program logs 11 contests: CQP, ARRL 10-Meter, ARRL DX, All Asian,
CQWW, NAQP, NEQP, PAQP, SS, Sprint, and WPX. New to version 9.2 is a
generic logging facility that can be used for unsupported contests and
for non-contest logging. It has many new features over previous versions,
including increased SO2R support, the ability to log WPX from outside
US/VE, increased LPT functionality, support for USB relay output,
expanded post-contest information, and other improvements.
It supports Cabrillo e-log format, and expanded rates and stats reporting
both during the contest and post-contest. It also supports 2-radio
operation, LPT, USB relay, and serial port activation for keying and PTT.
It includes both a CW keyer and voice keyer using Sound Blaster
compatible PC hardware. For CQP, you can even send alternating CQs on two
radios, one on phone and one on CW!
Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any trouble
setting it up or using it (or have suggestions for improvement).
CU all in CQP. 73, andy, ae6y
