[Elecraft] K1 #1266 Up and Running !!!!

First off .... my personal thanks and congratulations to the Elecraft =
team for making this little beauty!  I wish to extend a special thanks =
to Scott and Gary, whom I had contacted throughout the construction for =
occasional reassurance!

I finished the rig yesterday (9/11) complete with the ATU option, and =
put it on the air with just an indoor first floor / short dipole!  The =
tuner loaded all bands to 1.0-1.3 SWR ........ and my first QRP contact =
was with K4GXY on twenty meters at 3.5 watts.  Needless to say ....... I =
was excited to see it's working!!

My only goof ..... MY fault ....... was in my excitement ...... I bent =
the speaker pins badly when placing them into the plug!  I've got an =
email off to Scott to order replacements ..... plus an extra in case I =
get too excited yet again!!

Now ....... I'll have to learn all the features and try them out!  As =
best I can tell .... all is working FB ....... but ....... I hardly =
touched more than the basics ..... so time will prove this true or not!

Keep an ear open for my call ........ and I have hopes of doing some =
portable ops while out in the field!  THANKS again guys for the GREAT =
KIT & SERVICE!!!=20
