IMDDR3 and BDR measure the primarily the receiver's front end
performance. There are many other items that impact "overall" receiver
performance which appear to be often overlooked when writing reviews -
to name a few:

IF filter blowby
IF filter shape factor
IF filter passband ripple
Stability over temperature
Dial accuracy and resetability
Accuracy between Rx and Tx frequencies
Audio quality (often related to the speaker size, quality, and
mounting)
Performance of QRM fighting items such as passband tuning, IF shift,
notch filter, and DSP noise reduction.
Performance of noise blanker
Overall mechanical quality and ruggedness
