First build the radio and make sure everything is working.  Only then
should you do any mods.

The 2nd xtal filter flattening mod is a MUST!  You won't like SSB receive
until you do this mod.

The problem with the action of the audio gain pot can be tolerated by
most, but the mod for it definitely improves its action.
