Hi
Not only that but Don was using my K2/100 (his KPA100 Was not installed y=
et) and we were running the rig on solar power at 50 to 100 watts!! There=
were 4 or 5 other 100 watt rigs in operation with their antennas only 10=
0 or 200 feet away. The K2 handled it all very well on both CW and SSB (b=
etter than some of the so called big rigs). The K2 was the only rig set u=
p for CW/SSB, all of the other operators were on SSB. Don's K2 is now QRO=
and he told me everything went together without a hitch.

Subject: [Elecraft] K6SE Sprint Summary for Team Elecraft
Opinions are like noses-we've all got one, so here's mine. I've run an =20
FT1000D, and an Icom 746 with the 500 Hz filter in the 9 Mhz IF and 250 H=
z =20
filter in the 455 Khz IF. In all honesty, I can say that I am able to li=
sten =20
a lot longer to the K2. With its low noise floor, the K2 receiver is muc=
h =20
easier on the ears. I have the CW filters set for 1500 Hz, 700 Hz, 400 H=
z, =20
and 100 Hz-pretty much the stock K2 setup. It's great to be able to util=
ize =20
the narrowest setting and still have the audio sound as nice as it does. =
=20
During Field Day, the CW subbands are plenty crowded. and, using a K2, I =20
never had any insurmountable problems with nearby strong signals. If an =20
interefering signal is zero beat with the one you want, there's nothing y=
ou =20
can do about it anyway. Next Field Day, I'm leaving the "big rigs" home,=
and =20
bringing along my K2.
