Since I SWL about once a year this would be a definite non-starter
for me.

Ok, how about this. We convince the fine folks at Elecraft to produce a true
general coverage receiver, package it with a K2/100 and the KAT100 all in
one (slightly larger) box. Viola, a K3 is born! Dual VFO (one ham band, one
general coverage), internal ATU, 100 watts, and all the other fine
attributes of the K2. Hey and it would balance the QRP/QRO market. Two great
radios for QRP; the K1 & K2, and two great radios for QRO; the K2/100 & K3.
Whadda ya think?

Cheers,
Colin

K1 - 942 (patiently waiting for some trimmer caps)
K2 - 2833 (front panel complete; on to the control board)
