Congratulations! I hope you had fun... if you can call it that...

The Sprints DO become more enjoyable as your experience, and expertise,
increase. It is a 'different' type of contest... many call it a
"contester's contest". I tend to agree, because it forces everyone to be
able to work "search 'n pounce", which is not always a fun mode... though
it IS much more fun for me when I'm operating QRP, because I generally
cannot 'hold' a frequency for CQing.

>In the middle of my 20 hour one song kept dancing through my head- the old
>Tom Lehrer song "The Masochism Tango".

Heheh... agreed...

>It is amazing how some stations- one call and they answer, while others you
>call and call and call, they get no other answers and continue to CQ in your
>face.

Last night it ALL depended upon the propagation of your signal into certain
areas of the country... well.. that and the fact that weaker stations COULD
be heard if none of the boy boys were there too... <G>

>Condx seemed to be quite disturbed but the K2 worked flawlessly.

Agreed... on both counts.

>I did manage to work Tom N0SS twice, and heard him on 80M, but he was always
>too busy. Also heard K6SE on 80M, but if that was a KW he was using he
>probably wouldn't have heard me.

I heard you on all bands as well, but every time I set up to work you on
80M, you were the 'vacating' station. Oh well, NEXT time!

Thanks for joining us... hope you enjoyed the madness.
