Normally, it's the internal speaker in the K2; the directions I've seen online (including the KI6WX ones that I used) don't run the audio over to the EC2.

If you want to use the speaker in the amp, you'll have to do a bit more work when you move your K2 into the EC2. Put a jack on the EC2 for the speaker connection, and run a cable between the K2 speaker jack and the EC2. You should have no trouble figuring out how to do it.
