[Elecraft] K2/100 Initial Tests - Slight problem?

In fairness it's early days in my investigations, but I think I have a
problem at the initial tests stage of my K2/100.

All readings are within spec, except U1 pins 1 and 2.

U1      My reading      Should be

pin1    3.89K           >1K
pin2    3.89K           >10K

The two readings are very close, almost suggesting a short between pins
1 and 2, but (with U1 removed) the reading between pins 1 and 2 on the
socket is nearly 8K.

Anything obvious spring to mind?
