[Elecraft] K2 #2078 Deaf on 20M - OK on all other bands

Tom Hammond suggested I post this:

I found out why I was not getting receiver performance on 20M and great p=
erformance on all other bands. It was not a hardware problem at all, rela=
ys and all that. It was pilot error as usual.

I have the 160M option. I had inadvertently set RANT (separate receiver a=
ntenna) to ON for 20M. Still don't know how I did that.  Each band has th=
e capability of using the RANT separately. So, I changed RANT to OFF in t=
he menu and 20M now works just fine. The radio was looking for an antenna=
 on the 160M board instead of through the normal antenna connector (I hav=
e the tuner option too, which is great BTW!).

I found the problem using Tom's signal tracing approach and found that ap=
plying the antenna backwards through the radio worked to isolate the prob=
lem to the 160M option board. Then I read the manual and figured out that=
 the receive antenna can be selected independently for each band. Well, l=
ight bulbs finally came on.

Everything works great now. As I said, pilot error! No hardware problems.=
 Hopefully this will help someone someday.
