[Elecraft] OT- logging programs

I use ms Excel.  I like Excel because of filters and the ability to add
columns to the log at will.  I am writing a software interface to the K2
that enters most of the contact data into the log in real time.  I have some
of it working.  It also retrieves DX spots from dx summit (click and go) and
interfaces to QRZ for call sign lookup.

I'm not sharing yet because I don't have the internet time-outs handled,
etc.

This may be "off topic", but since recently adding the ssb option to my K2 I
find I'm using it more often and I need to move from paper logs to some sort
of simple computer logging program. Advice will be appreciated. It should be
basic, very simple to use  (for an OF, not "computer literate") and cheap
(or free) would be nice. Please reply direct. Thanks.
