[Elecraft] K2/KPA serial port noise

Greetings,
As I was getting tuned up for this year's 6Y5 CQWW QRP adventure, I was
reminded of a problem we experienced last May during the CQWPX.  When I am
on a quiet band, with a computer hooked up to the K2 (K2 with KPA100), I get
a small (S2-3) noise increase at about 1 Hz rate, maybe a little faster.  I
think most of the K2s that were in 6Y last May (all FT units) exhibited this
to some degree or other with mine producing the most noise.  
Has anybody else detected this?  I haven't done anything to try to relocate
cable or anything yet.  Anybody have any suggestions on what to try.
