Hello Again!
    Wow, I really can't believe all of the great comments I have gotten =
in just this short period of time. I really do appreciate it, both the =
yays and the nays. It's really lead me to do a lot of thinking. I also =
stopped by Barnes & Noble tonight and read an absolutely fabulous =
article in CQ magazine about the K2/100.
    I'm pleased to say I have made the decision to purchase and use the =
K2 as my primary radio, with my Yaesu Ft-1500M as my 2m rig. I think =
that after all of the research I have done, it's safe to say that my =
shack will be filled with top of the line, reliable equipment. While it =
will be a few months before I am able to make the purchase, I will =
continue to monitor the list so that I may learn even while I am =
waiting.
    Even though I have made my decision, keep those comments coming, =
these are great tips. I'm especially thankful for all of the tips on the =
equipment I should be aquiring between now and the time I start =
building. All of the recommendations for equipment I should have before =
starting have been great, and I am sure they will make the process go a =
lot easier. I can hardly wait to get started.
    In fact the only downside that I have run into, is to find a =
suitable soldering station, I am going to have to order off of the web. =
I live in a very small town which, amazingly, has a radio shack, but =
their soldering irons/stations are substantially of less quality than =
what has been recommended I purchase. But that really isn't a problem, =
just reading through comments made on other subjects I have found =
numerous tips on the right places to buy.
