[Elecraft] Wait a minute, that's not NZ! (ZL7C via the K1)

Wednesday night, I tuned around 15m before going to
bed and heard one lone CW signal on my K1. It was ZL7C!
Wow, New Zealand! I need that! 

Looked it up, wait a minute....CHATHAM ISLAND!

Guessed at the split and began calling. What's spooky
is that I could only hear a few of the stations he 
was talking to. Very strange, LONG propagation on 15
at that time of night (about 0130Z).

Got him after about 20 minutes. I was astounded he heard
me -- 9000 miles away -- as I am using my little K1 and
a 35' randomwire for an antenna. Not bad, not bad at all!
I wanted to wait and make sure I was in his logs before

Love my K1 and its mojo! This makes country 74 worked on my
K1 so far.
