After suffering a nervous breakdown trying to get my K1 to stay on frequency 
and not jump 100 KHz, I finally gave up and let my son, KA1GTT, see what he 
could find.

After replacing most of the VFO components, he finally discovered that the 
culprit was the RIT potentiometer - its wiper was making only intermittent 
contact with the element.

Now all is well and the little feller gave a good account of itself last 
weekend in the ARCI contest.
