No. This mod is ONLY for inclusion IF you do not intend to use the K2 at 
the higher output levels.

ADDITIONALLY, the mod is NOT to be included if you plan on operating SSB, 
even at the 5W level.

Probably only marginally, and it could cause problems if the K2 WAS asked 
(by the PA) t0 provide drive in excess of 5W, which WILL probably be the 
case on some bands. I would strongly recommend AGAINST inclusion of this 
mod if you plan on using your K2 with the KPA100.

Unless you are a big time QRP CW (only) op, and plan on doing quite a bit 
of operating from the internal battery, I would not recommend the 5W mod.
