The KAT100 does NOT use latching relays, while the KAT2 does.  Thus, in any
configuration where there is at least one relay energized, the KAT100 will
draw more power than the KAT2.

Whether the power to continuosuly energize the relays when the K2/KAT100 is
turned on is signficiant or not is a judgment call you'll have to make :-)
