Hi

Yes the firmware will switch out the PA if you connect the power to the n=
ormal round K2 power jack. Or you can disable the PA in the menu and use =
either power jack. The KPA100 uses a few more ma mainly to run the power =
supply for the RS-232, about 380 ma in receive mode with the backlight on=
.
