[Elecraft] SSB cal fil problem

I don't have a problem with dial calibration as much as not understanding
the operation of FL1 and FL2. Setting the BFO to the same number for both
filters should give the same results, shouldn't it?

Comes with the territory, Jerry. A wonderful little radio but its dial
calibration and related features don't quite measure up to the overall
performance of the radio. But, despite that I have found no problems at all
in actually working stations with the K2.

My Icom PRO affords one Hz tuning resolution and is always within two Hz or
less of WWV, so a couple of years of that has spoiled me! But, once one
accepts that the dial calibration of the K2 is going to be great on 160 and
degrade as you move up in frequency, and differ for each mode, then you can
relax and enjoy working stations instead of worrying about dial settings!

So far, I have never failed to hear a station on the K2 that I can hear on
the PRO, and the overall quieter background noise of the K2 makes the
weaker signals seem even easier to copy that with the PRO.
