Hi,

Are you interested in using your handie or mobile 2m radio to talk to the International Space Station this weekend? READ ON

Go to: http://www.bester.com/ AND http://www.bester.com/satpasses.htm

TO find out more on how to contact them.

on http://www.bester.com/satpasses.htm you can choose your closest city.

The split is ~1.3MHz.
The Receive frequency for Region 2 in the USA is:
145.800 MHz
The Transmit frequency:
144.900 MHz

International Space Station Callsign- NA1SS

use an omnidirectional/vertical antenna inverted V-dipole or even your mobile antenna.

Some information I got from a friend is here for contact:
40 degrees Azimuth
50-60 degrees Elevation
use MUF and LOS

Find out from website to IF and WHEN it passes over. You will have approximately 5-6 minutes to get station information and RST(Rcvd signal report)

2m FM contact with NA1SS will sound like a repeater and will come in soft on the frequency, get louder, then fade out.

Also you can tell the speed of the approaching NA1SS by the packet bursts on the same Receive Frequency.

Get in the action, be ready for it during Jamboree!
