Hi

I have 4 K2's in the shack at the present time, some with different firmw=
are revisions and they all do this. I would suspect it has to do with the=
scanning of the PB switches and the S meter display. They both use the s=
ame serial buss for control and the switch bank select is controlled by t=
he S meter drivers, so it may not be possible to update the S meter while=
the A/B button is held down. Or if it is possible it may have been an ov=
ersight when the firmware was written and can be fixed in the next versio=
n of the firmware if there is room. You can always tap the A/B twice swit=
ch and the S meter works that way. =20

I have also never bothered with the REV switch and after you =20
mentioned the problem I found it didn't do what I thought it did! It =20
does not REV the VFOs - ie move the A freq to B and vice versa, it is =20
really only an extension of the A/B switch and switches the VFOs only =20
as long as you keep you finger on the button. In this respect it =20
works unlike any of the other dual function buttons on the K2 in the =20
'hold' mode.

I cannot really see the point of it. I use A/B extensively in pile =20
ups working split and am adept at this. Apart from saving key pushes =20
there does not really seem any point.

But I can confirm that my REV switch works quite normally - the S =20
meter follows the signal on the appropriate VFO apart from a short =20
delay while the AGC settles.
