The use of 1% resistors in place of 5% wouldn't hurt. For the most part, it
would mainly serve to increase the cost of the unit slightly. There would
be little to no benefit in most cases. In the areas of power metering,
voltage and current measurement, and SWR detection circuits, 1% resistors
might improve the accuracy of the measurements but that's about it.
