Yes, stumped is the word.

The first six are pretty easy. But that was it for me! PF's won't do key
functions, just menu functions. RIT/XIT won't go that far (5Kc), but can be
turned on/off without using the knob.

I'm assuming you are suggesting we leave the covers on and don't diddle via
KIO2!
