Never Ever use steel Wool, I learned this the hard way

Steel wool makes it lovely and shiny (if fine enough) but leaves 
microscopic bits of steel behind the effect of this is the next time your 
aluminum gets wet it reacts with the tiny bits of steel left behind and 
oxidizes far worse than before.

I still don't know how to clean Aluminium but I sure know how not to!
