the K-2.  I agree that the K2's selectivity and low noise made the CS
less of an advantage, though it was still an impressive improvement.
Also, be aware that the CS's current drain is more than the whole K-2
receiver, some 400 ma as I recall ...


It sounds like our experiences are the same Ed.  I agree that the
current consumption is high; it seems to be a characteristic of all DSPs
that I have seen.  As I use my DSP exclusively for base operations, the
current consumption is not an issue. Perhaps if Elecraft get into the
DSP business, they can work on the current consumption problem (along
with the surface mount construction that seems prevalent in existing
units).
