I'm not sure if I made myself clear or not but I'll add this to my comments
about the lifting pads. Ok, now on the bottom of the board where it says R15
& R16 as I understood the directions that where the actual soldering is to
be done, which is what I did. That soldered just fine with nice pretty
joins, its the other side where the pads came off. The side where all the
switches are. Your not suppose to solder those 2 resistors on that side.
I'm using my trusty old Weller Soldering Station which has always done a
great job and far as I know never overheated. I don't think it was my
soldering (leaving iron on joint too long) as I use the same type soldering
station at work, and soldering is a major part of my job so I know how to
solder, been to schools on it and I'm certified at my workplace. I'm not
saying its my fault and I'm not saying it isn't. Just concerned that 3 out
of the 4 pads aint there no more. hi
Hope this makes things clear as mud. hi hi
